Recipe:
1 box store bought white cake mix (and the ingredients the box calls for)
1 – 6 oz box strawberry jello
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
8 oz cool whip
Fresh blueberries for topping
Fresh strawberries for topping
Prepare the boxed cake in a 9×13 baking dish according to the package instructions once baked let cool down completely then poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
Whisk the jello packet in 1 cup of hot water then whisk in 1 cup of cold water pour over the cake.
Make the frosting: to a medium sized bowl beat together the cream cheese and cool whip. Spread this over the cake. For best results refrigerate for 1-2 hours then top with the fruit and enjoy! (If you don’t have time to refrigerate you can skip that)

Reminds me: I had this friend on her 25th birthday, her friend made her this cake, and I didn’t like it. I paid the baker 20 bucks to get off my back. Too specify, they thought I was anorexic, and she was forcing me to eat something that I didn’t like. So, that’s how I got her off my back.

My mom made this cake all throughout my childhood. She used different flavors to spice it up. Jello was more common and popular in the 1970s and 1980s. But now people know what it’s made from, it kind of killed the mood.
Why is she acting like this cake is something new? It was delicious back in the 70s & 80s when it came out! 😂
